Happy Easter to all of you! Hope you were able to spend time with family this past weekend. We are finally getting the moisture we need so the spring colors of Easter fit in with the flowers, trees, and grasses that are coming to life outdoors. That’s such a great part of this time of year. We’re hoping the green of spring lasts well into summer to help with what is already becoming an active fire season. Remember to keep up on your exterior clean-up and fire mitigation, especially for those clients living in the foothills and mountains.
This time of year is also huge for any of you with high school students. The seniors are especially looking forward to prom in April and graduation in May. As parents, we tend to dread this time of year a little. Other than just the expense involved, we also see the concerns that come with the celebrations – inexperienced drivers distracted by excited friends or a cell phone, maybe even by alcohol, and getting into an accident. That is why the National Safety Council named April “Distracted Driving Awareness Month.” We hope you will check out our article in this newsletter on some of the concerns and tips to avoid issues. The big key is to start those conversations with your teens now, not as they are heading out the door with the car keys. You will find more posts throughout the month on our social media (Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Twitter). As the saying goes, “it takes a village” and we want to be a part of the solution to keep our village as great as possible.
Enjoy the spring days to come!
